About course
This course is based on a Christmas episode of the BBC Ukrainecast podcast, in which Stephen Fry - a legendary British comedian and the narrator of the Harry Potter audiobooks - reads Miracle in the Darkness – a story by Ukrainian authors Viktoriia Murovana and Iryna Vyhovska about children’s lives during the war, blackouts, and the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
Designed for advanced English learners (level B2 and above), the course is built around one in-depth audio episode. The main focus is on listening to authentic English and developing vocabulary in context.
This is more than just a lesson. It is an opportunity to hear a Ukrainian story told to the world in Stephen Fry’s voice and to deepen your language skills through a powerful, honest, and deeply human text.
