About course
This course is designed specifically for those connected to the military: active-duty personnel, veterans, instructors, and volunteers working with service members. Across 8 modules, you will cover essential upper-intermediate (B2-level) military vocabulary related to service, army structure, combat operations, daily life on the front lines, as well as trauma and rehabilitation topics.
The course includes:
- pre-service training;
- types of military units;
- kinds of operations and roles within the military;
- army structure, service, and daily routines;
- language for describing combat injuries and psychological traumas.
We have aimed to create a course that is both respectful of the experiences of our defenders and highly practical: it follows the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and uses NATO-aligned terminology.
We hope this course will be useful not only for improving your English but also for understanding, expressing, and discussing vital and personal topics.
