Interactive learning with Smarte+ and new opportunities for learning English

Introducing Smarte+ – a smart online training tool for interactive English language learning. It is a part of the Smarte online educational platform, which is the basis for all courses in the booyya market.

These services allow you to personalize your course as much as possible and study exactly the aspect of English that is interesting and important to you. Let's take a closer look at each of them.

My Vocabulary – work with ready-made and own vocabulary lists
 

The service provides interactive learning of English vocabulary in two ways.

1. Ready-made standard lists (Study Sets). Here you can work with ready-made lists of different levels, i.e. with vocabulary from Elementary to Advanced at the same time. You can also add sets or individual words to My List.

2. Custom lists (My List). You can add words to your set from Study Sets, purchased courses for interactive learning of English, or add your own words. You can choose a word definition from several offered by the service, provide your own description or translation of the word, or add it without any additional information. There is no limit to the number of words you can add, and they are added in chronological order.

The sets are presented in the form of a list of words (List) and flashcards with translations of words or phrases and their pronunciation (Flashcards). When you have learnt a word, you can tick it off (I know) and move it to a separate list. At any time, you can return to the lists and flashcards for practice.

You can also learn vocabulary through interactive exercises:

• Match – you need to match the word/phrase with its translation or definition in English. The vocabulary from Study Sets corresponds to the topic of the selected list, and the vocabulary from My List is 20 random words/phrases from your personal list. A great exercise to keep your memory sharp.

• Choose – in this practice task you can match definitions to words/phrases from the given options or vice versa - words/phrases to definitions. This interactive exercise teaches you to think in English without resorting to translating into your native language, and it is a good way to expand your vocabulary.

• Spell – an exercise to check and memorize the correct spelling of words. Depending on the level of difficulty you choose (Easy, Medium, Hard), a certain number of letters will be omitted from the vocabulary you are learning and you will need to fill in the gaps. You can change the level at any time.

My Notepad – note-taking service
 

When learning a foreign language, sometimes there is a need to make a comment or note. To avoid wasting a cute notebook or creating a bunch of notes on your phone, we have introduced the My Notepad interactive learning service.

This is your personal notebook where you can not only leave text, but also add tables, images, and other files. In the future, the Smarte+ team wants to implement the ability to add course materials.

Your notes will remain on the platform forever, so you can return to them whenever you need to. Use it and write out useful information!

Extra Practice – additional exercises for memorizing new info
 

This is the largest section of Smarte+, and a team of English teachers is constantly working on its content. It currently contains interactive grammar exercises, with plans to add vocabulary and functional language.

To start practicing, choose:

1. your level or two related levels (e.g. A1.1 and A1.2);
2. one or more grammar topics that interest you;
3. types of exercises, including:

• correct the mistakes;
• choose one/several correct options;
• choose an extra option;
• fill in the gapes;
• open the brackets;
• paraphrase;
• translate,
  etc.

You don't have to select an exercise type, and you can change other settings to create an almost unlimited number of exercises. When you change the settings or click the Start Practice button again, the tasks are shuffled and appear in a different order.

After completing the exercise, you can check yourself and see the correct answers right away. The results are not saved, and you can complete the same exercise as many times as you wish.
